Many companies use low-quality ingredients. Some of these ingredients, such as mineral oil and petrolatum, seem to hydrate your lips in the short run. But they can cause your lips to dry out and peel in the long term, making you buy more of the company’s products to treat your chapped lips. The toxic ingredients to look for in store-bought lip balms include petrolatum (a petroleum byproduct that can cause organ toxicity), parabens(or any ingredients that have the word “paraben” in them, which is a known endocrine disruptor), and fragrance or ‘perfume’ (which could be a cocktail of hundreds of unknown chemicals including hormone disruptors and carcinogens). All of my butters include 0 preservatives, 0 GMOs and are BPA free! They are completely edible and kid friendly!

COCOA BUTTER: the miracle ingredient & one of the main ingredients in chocolate. In all lip/cuticle butters, cocoa butter created a protective layer that can help moisturize your lips even in the harshest climates. Cocoa butter contains all-natural ingredients that penetrate into and moisturize deep layers of skin. Cocoa butter for lips is non-toxic and heals chronic dryness naturally. Cocoa butter is also rich in natural plant compounds called phytochemicals. These substances may improve blood flow to the skin and slow skin aging by protecting against damage from the sun's harmful UV rays.

SHEA BUTTER: Shea Butter is said to have anti-inflammatory properties and is often used to heal and prevent chapped lips. Benefits: Leaves lips soft and supple. Works to prevent chapped lips. A great benefit of Shea butter, is that it can actually heal your skin, if you are suffering from a rash, sun burn or even insect bites and also acts as a natural sun block! It is loaded with vitamin F, which keeps your skin hydrated and soft thus maintaining its elasticity.

JOJOBA OIL: jojoba oil is a great moisturizer. Jojoba oil is fantastic for skin because it’s rich in like vitamin E, vitamin B-complex and zinc. These deeply nourishing nutrients can help soothe a variety of skin irritations including acne spots, sunburned skin, and dry skin. absorbs quickly into your lips to soften and smooth without leaving a greasy film

VITAMIN E: Vitamin E is known for its restorative skin properties and healing abilities. Great for your skin and helps protect against environmental damage, it helps boost the shelf life of the butters.

BEESWAX: helps create a perfect consistency on your lips that stays put, keeps your lip balm solid so it doesn’t turn liquidy  at room temperature. Protects lips from UV rays – Much like how sunblock protects your skin, beeswax can protect your lips from harmful UV rays and has lubricating, softening activities and reduces trans-epidermal water loss from skin. Research has also discovered that beeswax contains small amounts of natural antibacterial agents. This is especially helpful for individuals who have excessively dry and cracked lips. These antibacterial agents can help prevent a painful inflammation that comes with an infection.

FLAVORING: Now this one is my secret ingredient! Unlike stevia, the sweeter I use does not leave any bitter after taste and is completely organic! flavours are specifically formulated to be used in lip balm, are cruelty and paraben-free, natural, and are organic and food grade. I add only subtle flavoring to my balms to discourage licking (as this dries out the lips more!) but just incase It does get in your mouth It will still taste good!

How to use: massage into lips or on and around your nails several times a day to promote healing of rough, dry lips, nails & cuticles, improve the health of nail beds, and help strengthen the nails. Every one of my balms has a light and delightful scent PLUS unlike many other balms on the market, they taste BOMB too! I use very little beeswax in my butters, just enough to hold them together, this helps keep the butters extra creamy and not waxy like many other store bought balms.
